After spending just one NFL Draft pick on an offensive lineman, expect several to sign with the Bengals in undrafted free agency.

The first one to do so is Iowa State Cyclones offensive guard Josh Knipfel, according to the school.

An Honorable Mention All-Big-12 pick in each of the past two seasons, Knipfel has started every game the last three seasons (39 straight games), most of which were at right guard, a position that’s in major flux for the Bengals right now.

The 6-5, 300-pound lineman was part of an offense that broke school records in total offense (444.3), touchdowns (53), passing yards (4,047) and yards per play (6.4). The Cyclone offense also averaged 32.2 points per game, the second-best season total in school history

Knipfel will now compete with the likes of Alex Redmond, Michael Jordan, Xavier Su’a Filo, Billy Price and O’Shea Dugas for spots at offensive guard next season.
