Bengals show appreciation for Chad Johnson’s ambassadorial efforts during offseason

Johnson’s advocacies have not gone unnoticed by his former team.

Along with his usual generous lifestyle, Chad Johnson has been busy loading coal into the 2020 Cincinnati Bengals’ hype train. We took notice last month.

The front office seemed to take notice as well.

Earlier this week, the Bengals’ former All-Pro receiver received a thank you letter written by Katie Blackburn, the team’s Executive Vice President. Blackburn and other members of the front office, including her brother and Vice President Paul Brown, wanted to show appreciation for Johnson’s work as an unofficial ambassador of the franchise.

Along with the letter, customized Bengals cigars were also gifted to Johnson, courtesy of Blackburn and company. Johnson has been on the record for saying cigars are his one proclaimed vice, and if you’ve followed his life since his playing days ended, you’d know that to be true.

For how great an advocate of the team Johnson has continued to be, it’s nice to see the higher ups take notice and recognize Johnson for what he’s become in his post-playing days.

Maybe Johnson will save a cigar for Joe Burrow whenever they meet up with A.J. Green and other members of his receiving corps.
