NFL Coach of the Year odds released

Can Zac Taylor and the Bengals pull the stunner in his second season?

NFL Combine - Day 2

Thanks to one of the best offseasons in franchise history, the Bengals are poised to be one of the NFL’s most improved teams next season.

Might that put Zac Taylor in the discussion for NFL Head Coach of the Year?

SportsBetting.ag just released their first odds for the award that annually honors the NFL coach who did the best job with his team, and Taylor came in at 33-1 odds, for the seventh-lowest. He did manage to come ahead of more notable coaches like Jon Gruden, Bill O’Brien and Ron Rivera but still isn’t being given much of a shot to win the award.

For Taylor to win the award, the Bengals probably need to at least have a winning record and probably need to make the playoffs as well. Seeing as how the playoffs have been expanded by one team per conference, it’s not that far-fetched.
