The Cincinnati Bengals have had one of the most exciting offseasons in team history, thanks to some top free agency signings and a group of talented rookies. The members of the latter group are being spotlighted at one of the NFL’s high-profile events.

Joining The Orange and Black Insider this week is Jason Howarth, who is the Vice President of Marketing at Panini America. He talked about their “Rookie Premiere” event, which showcased a couple of Bengals rookies. Howarth also chatted about the amount of big names at this year’s event, comparative to last and how the event is being help because of the COVID crisis.

John and Anthony also be took a look at which players on Cincinnati’s roster have the most to prove this year. Many members of Zac Taylor’s inaugural draft class are discussed, as they are critical to the team making a big leap in 2020.

Drew Sample, Renell Wren, Germaine Pratt and Michael Jordan were under the microscope. They were given a bit of a pass last year because of their youth, but increased snaps and responsibilities will force many sets of eyes to watch their respective performances.

The OBI crew also continued their “9 For 9 Positional Preview” series. The safeties are up this time around, as both massive talent and questions surround the group.

How will the team use the trio of Vonn Bell, Jessie Bates III and Shawn Williams? Brandon Wilson provides special teams value, but what does the team look to do beyond the top-three?
