Zac Taylor returned to Paul Brown Stadium last Wednesday and is getting back to work. That’s exciting considering he’ll probably be re-designing his offense around rookie quarterback Joe Burrow and figuring out how to incorporate A.J. Green into the mix.
Meanwhile, newly-signed D.J. Reader has shed twenty pounds in an effort to get quicker. He anticipates playing more snaps with the Bengals, and defensive line coach Nick Eason wants to get him involved in more packages. Reader was able to get trimmer by cutting out carbohydrates, including Cap’n Crunch cereal.
Speaking of captains, we had the Bengals Captain and his wife, Jess Conley, on our show to discuss these exciting developments. If you don’t know about them, Taylor high-fived the Captain after winning the rookie coach won the first game of his career. And the couple represented the Bengals during the virtual Draft late April. We talked about the other exciting free agency signings and rookie linebackers, Logan Wilson, Akeem Davis-Gaither, and Markus Bailey.
