The Cincinnati Bengals are getting close to opening their training camp, however that may look. Part of that process is the return of some very promising second-year players—including those returning from injury.

We talked about some of those players on this week’s episode of The Orange and Black Insider, including Jonah Williams and Rodney Anderson’s quick road through rehabilitation from a second ACL injury he suffered last year. Does he have the ability to carve out a big niche in the team’s 2020 offense?

The crew also continues its “9 For 9 Positional Preview” series, continuing with the cornerbacks. It’s arguably the most talented position group on the roster, so there was a lot to talk about.

Where does Darius Phillips play into the team’s plans in the group? Can CFL standout Winston Rose come in and be one of those trademarked preseason heroes?

The big questions surround CB1, William Jackson III, though. Can he have a Pro Bowl season in a contract year? If so, can the Bengals afford to sign him to a long-term deal after inking Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander this spring?

John also addressed some controversy surrounding Bobby Hart in the “mic drop” finale of the program, alongside some recent interesting comments by George Iloka. To top off the episode, we made the announcement that former Bengals great, Ken Anderson, will be joining our program next week at the special time of 7:30 p.m. ET next Wedensday, July 1st.
