After struggling to a 2-14 last season, the Bengals came out of the gates firing when the offseason began, highlighted by a surprisingly productive free agency period, then had what many experts viewed as one of the top 2020 NFL Draft classes.

However, things have come to a screeching halt for Cincinnati and the rest of the NFL, as COVID-19 has essentially wiped out all offseason workouts, a critical team-building block, especially for a team with as many new players as the Bengals.

On the latest episode of Chalk Talk, I talked with The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. about Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ unique offseason.

Among the topics we discussed include:

  • Developing Burrow
  • Using technology as a teaching tool
  • Burrow’s pass-catchers
  • Free agency and the NFL Draft
