The defensive overhaul impacted the cornerback room this offseason. The Bengals added former Vikings teammates Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander. They also signed LeShaun Sims. Waynes and Alexander are expected to make an immediate impact in the Bengals’ secondary. As part of their overhaul, the team moved on from former first-round pick Dre Kirkpatrick in the process.

Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow has been in regular contact with A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd about getting together before training camp. Those workouts haven't taken place yet, but that didn't stop other Bengals players from getting together on Thursday.

Devonta Freeman's agent severs ties with free-agent RB
NFL Network's Mike Silver reported that Freeman's agent, Kristin Campbell, notified the free-agent running back that she's terminating their relationship. Campbell notably negotiated the five-year, $41.25 million extension Freeman signed with the Falcons in 2017 that made him the highest-paid RB in the game.

Long-term deadline draws near for NFL's franchised 14
The deadline for franchise-tagged players to work out long-term deals is now less than a week away as Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET draws near. That is the deadline for any club that designated a franchise player to sign said player to a multi-year contract. Following Wednesday, a tagged player cannot sign an extension until after the final game of the upcoming regular season.
