The Cincinnati Bengals have officially signed quarterback Joe Burrow, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. It’s a four-year deal with a team option for a fifth year.
Burrow, who weighs in at 6-4 and 221 pounds, spent the last two seasons with the LSU Tigers after beginning his college career with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is coming off one of best seasons a college player has ever had, as he won the Heisman Trophy and set numerous SEC and NCAA records en route to a 15-0 season and national title.
Burrow’s single-season SEC records include passing attempts (527), completions (402), completion percentage (76.3) and yards (5671), and he owns NCAA FBS records for single-season passing touchdowns (60), and touchdowns responsible for (65).
With Burrow’s signing, all seven of Cincinnati’s 2020 draft picks now are under contract as training camp begins this week, as a new era of Bengals football is officially underway.
