As the month of August slowly starts to creep up on September, things are really starting to feel like normal in the football world.
For the Cincinnati Bengals and their fans, that also means injuries control the news cycle.
The first week of what feels like actual training camp has seen a few Bengals added to the injury report, and a position group’s depth continue to shrink thanks to what is being reported as a season-ending injury for defensive tackle Renell Wren.
Joining Wren on the injury block is Shawn Williams, who may or may not be back for the season opener, Trae Waynes, who could return at some point during the season, and A.J. Green, who’s minor hamstring tightness has fans fearing the worst.
But not everything is gloom and doom. Joe Burrow put on pads for the first time and is solidifying early connections with a few of his new receivers. Anthony and John will cover that, how the team is shaping up before their first intrasquad scrimmage on Friday, and their latest breakout players all in this week’s episode.
