Trouble in Baltimore?

A key veteran is reportedly in danger of being let go.

We’re now just just under three weeks until the 2020 NFL season kicks off, one where the Ravens figure to be one of the top Super Bowl contenders.

Well, things aren’t exactly peach in Baltimore at the moment. Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas was sent home Friday after an altercation safety Chuck Clark, per ESPN.

The incident between Thomas and Clark was sparked by a missed assignment by Thomas, a source said. Thomas and Clark yelled at each other on the sideline and had to be restrained by teammates and coaches. Thomas put up his fists at one point.

Now, CBS reporter Jason La Canfora says that Ravens leaders want Thomas gone.

Thomas, a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro selection, signed a four-year, $55 million deal with Baltimore in March 2019. He’s easily one of the Ravens’ best players. If he’s cut or traded, it would be a huge loss for Baltimore before the season even begins.
