On Friday, No.1 overall draft pick Joe Burrow arrived at Paul Brown Stadium where he officially signed his rookie contract.
While signing the deal and speaking with media, some details about Burrow’s recent events came up.
The big news of the day was that Burrow has already had throwing sessions with second round pick Tee Higgins as well as Auden Tate and tight end Drew Sample.
Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com had this to say, “He’s been here for about two weeks, enough to time to get in some throwing sessions with receivers like Tee Higgins and Auden Tate and tight end Drew Sample.”
Burrow has already been building a chemistry with his new teammates as he has been working out with teammates like D.J. Reader. However, it is interesting to know that he has already linked up with Higgins who will have a real shot to work his way into the lineup as a rookie. Getting early work with QB1 is going to help his chances on getting on the field.
As for the top two receivers, Burrow has not yet had a chance to throw with A.J. Green or Tyler Boyd yet. With that being said, training camps are just about to get started so they will be linking up sooner rather than later.
