Bengals vs. Chargers Injury Report: Carlos Dunlap returns, Geno Atkins still sidelined

Atkins is on track to miss his first game in over over six years.

A little good news is better than no good news at all.

After having five players not practice on Wednesday, the Cincinnati Bengals saw that number drop down to three. Unfortunately, Geno Atkins (shoulder) remained sidelined without a helmet on as there’s just one more practice for him to participate in. Unless he makes a full return tomorrow, the odds of him playing in Sunday’s opener seems are low.

Defensive backs Shawn Williams (calf) and LeShaun Sims (personal) did not practice again either. They’re destined to be inactive come Sunday.

On the flip side, the Bengals did get Carlos Dunlap back in full Thursday after he had a rest day on Wednesday. Mike Daniels (groin) went limited after not practicing at all on Wednesday, but Darius Phillips (knee) popped up on the injury report after being limited.

Everything on the Chargers’ injury report is the same as yesterday aside from RT Bryan Bulaga (hamstring) being limited. WR Mike Williams (shoulder) was limited again and continues to look like a game-time decision while C Mike Pouncey (hip) didn’t practice looks like he won’t play at all.
