Joe Burrow is wasting no time in making his presence felt in the Queen City.
The No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft made his first NFL start today as the Bengals hosted the Chargers. After both teams traded punts in a defensive struggle early on, Cincinnati finally caught a break when a Chargers punt deep in their own territory only made it to the LA 44-yard line.
After a 13-yard pass to A.J. Green got the Bengals into the red zone, Burrow called his own number to finish off the drive with a score, as he ran 23 yards for the first score of his pro career to put the good guys up 7-0. He got a great assist from center Trey Hopkins, who ended up knocking down two Chargers defenders.
CALLED HIS OWN NUMBER FOR HIS FIRST CAREER TD!
