The Bengals are getting set for Sunday’s clash with the Eagles, and they could have a pair of key defenders making their return.

On Friday, Cincinnati ruled out Geno Atkins due to his lingering shoulder injury, while backup Mike Daniels is questionable to play due to his groin injury. Daniels will start in place of Atkins at defensive tackle if able to go. Head coach Zac Taylor said today he thinks Daniels will be active.

In addition, Shawn Williams is questionable to play with his lingering calf injury suffered in training camp. Williams has yet to play this season, and he’d be a big addition to a Bengals defense that was torched in last week’s loss to the Browns. Taylor expects Williams to go Sunday.

As for the Eagles, they’ve already ruled out starting wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Jalen Reagor, as well as backup safety Rudy Ford.

The real story is All-Pro defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, who is questionable to play with an abdomen injury. He was able to practice in a limited capacity on Friday.
