It was bound to eventually happen playing behind this offensive line, as Joe Burrow had an injury scare in the Bengals’ Week 3 matchup with the Eagles.
The play happened early in the second quarter as Burrow dropped back to pass, scrambled out of the pocket and bought enough time to find an open Tyler Boyd, but was absolutely annihilated by Eagles lineman Malik Jackson in the process.
I’m surprised Joe Burrows head is still attached to his body! pic.twitter.com/BP0PTEF1g3

After the play, Burrow was lying on the ground in pain and clearly shaken up, but he eventually got to his feet and walked it off. Backup Ryan Finley took over for one play before Burrow re-entered the game.
As of the 7:33 mark in the second quarter, Burrow has been sacked twice and hit six times by Eagles defenders. That can’t continue if Burrow is going to make it out of his rookie season in one piece.
Thankfully, this big hit did not lead to a serious injury.
