The 2020 NFL season kicks off Thursday, and the Cincinnati Bengals will take the field Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Cincinnati will be sending out No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow when the season starts, and it will mark the start of a new era of Bengals football.
As if there were any questions around Burrow’s goals as QB1 for the Bengals, he confirmed on Wednesday that he isn’t here to go .500 and just get into the playoffs. He’s here to win.
“I’m not here to go .500 and squeak into the playoffs,” he said. “I’m out here to win games and win championships.”
Joe Burrow speaking directly to the hearts of the #Bengals fan base. "I’m not here to go .500 and squeak into the playoffs. I’m out here to win games and win championships."

Something that all Bengals fans want to hear and know that Burrow isn’t your average QB. He’s used to winning, and he wants to bring a winning culture to Cincinnati after earning a Heisman Trophy and national championship at LSU.
Burrow and the Bengals will be looking to start the new era with a win on Sunday when the season kicks off at 4:05 PM from Paul Brown Stadium.
