Week 17 is here! Welcome to the Cincy Jungle pregame tailgate show brought to you by Narragansett Beer.
Although Joe Burrow’s first season as a Bengal ended prematurely, the team has galvanized in recent weeks. The Bengals will take on the Baltimore Ravens with the hopes of adding to their two-game winning streak.
In their first meeting back in Week 5, the defense played well. Rookie linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither made his first career start, as the Bengals primarily ran a 4-3 defense. This caused a lot of problems for Baltimore who was not able to run the ball as effectively as they normally do.
Unfortunately, the Ravens’ gave the offense fits as defensive coordinator Don Martindale threw everything he could at Burrow.
It would have been great to see Burrow get another shot at this defense, but even without Burrow under center, this game provides an interesting measuring stick.
- Can the offensive staff adjust after struggling the first time around?
- After executing a great game plan in the earlier matchup, how will the defense respond to Baltimore’s adjustments?
- Can the Bengals get three wins in a row, including quality wins over two AFC North opponents?
Anthony, John, and Matt will talk about the implications of this game along with all the relevant news leading up until kickoff.
