The Bengals really stumbled at the finish line this year. They had an embarrassing loss to the Ravens to finish off the season, and it really looked like whatever magic this team had the past two weeks was gone early in this one.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and the rest of Baltimore’s offense made it look easy to run the football on their way to a record day against the Bengals. It really looked like this offense couldn’t be stopped no matter what the Bengals defense tried to do.
Meanwhile, the Cincinnati offense could barely get a first down on the day much less sustain drives or create big plays like they did last week. There were some questions about how much of Brandon Allen and this team’s performance was due to a terrible Texans defense, and we really got the answer to that one in the worst possible way.
As a fan, it is unfortunate to see your team fold like this, but the silver lining is this team did show there are somethings to be excited about in 2021 without the obvious return of Joe Burrow. It is also going to be interesting to see which coaches are gone and which ones get another chance after the second straight losing season for this staff. hard to imagine things getting worse, though.
2020 may have ended in more disappointment, but here is hoping for a much better 2021.
Here are some of the best reactions from the Bengals losing to the Ravens in the final week of the season:
J.K. Dobbins with a 72-yard TD run to break the #Bengals record for most rushing yards allowed.

Ravens up to 350.

The Bengals failed to score a single touchdown against the Ravens in 2020. They lose their last game of the season 38-3 while giving up over 500 yards of total offense.

It appears the Super Bowl Era record of 407 yards rushing in a game set by the Bengals in 2000 will stand ... barely.

Ravens forced to punt with 404 on the ground.
A.J. Green ends the game without a catch.

the oline last year finished like the defense did before the texans game; good games against terrible competition. only difference is they won't be able to forget these last two showings when free agency comes around.

Joe Burrow, get better soon!
My final thoughts on the season:
— Adam's Hour (@Adams_Hour) January 3, 2021
Our team relies entirely on Joe Burrow being healthy and productive. Therefore, we need talent who can protect him & who he can throw to.
If we acquire well in the offseason, I firmly believe that 2021 will be a breath of fresh air.
Onto 2021 and the Joe Burrow return.
