Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals fought hard but ended up falling to the Green Bay Packers, 25-22, in their second overtime thriller of the young season.
Burrow had an injury scare early in the afternoon after taking a hard hit while scrambling out of the pocket. He was fortunately okay to play the rest of the game and went toe-to-toe with Aaron Rodgers in front of a packed Paul Brown Stadium.

While he stayed in the game afterwards, that play may or may not be responsible for a unique injury for the Bengals’ quarterback.
After the conclusion of the game, the Bengals announced that Burrow was being taken to a local hospital, as they want him to be evaluated for a possible throat contusion. Because of this, he wasn’t available for post-game comments.

It’s entirely possible that this was done for precautionary purposes, but this is surely something to monitor this week.
