Cincinnati Bengals guard Jackson Carman has suffered an injury that led to him exiting the team’s Week 6 matchup with the Detroit Lions.
Early in the third quarter, Carman suffered an unknown injury following a 3rd-and-short run. After being tended to by trainers, Carman got up and walked to the blue medical tent, where he was examined for several minutes.
When Carman emerged from the tent, he was carted back to the locker room for further testing.
As it turns out, Carman has an illness and is questionable to return, the team announced. He just came off the NFL’s COVID-19 reserve list on Friday after landing there Monday. It’s unclear if that’s related to today’s issue.
With Carman out, sixth-round rookie Trey Hill took his place at right guard. Hill actually got the start today but committed several brutal penalties that led to him being replaced with Carman.
We will update this post if more details come out.

Jackson Carman is still getting evaluated in the blue tent. An abnormally lengthy stay for him.
