The Cincinnati Bengals are having fun in their Week 6 game vs. the Detroit Lions.
That was very evident on a 4th-and-inches play in the third quarter that saw Joe Mixon sneak out of the backfield, catch a short pass and took it 40 yards for the touchdown to put his team ahead 17-0.
It was actually the longest run or reception in his five-year career, according to ESPN Stats & Info (via Ben Baby).
What made the play even better was rookie wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase throwing a great down-field block that ensured Mixon made it into the end zone.

Look at Chase out here blocking better than Penei Sewell, the man many claimed Cincinnati should take in this year’s NFL Draft. Sewell has been getting worked by Trey Hendrickson today, while Chase has four grabs for 97 yards and this great block.
As for Mixon, it’s great to see he looks fully healthy now after being limited much of the past two weeks with an ankle injury.
