The Cincinnati Bengals have started the season 4-2, better than most expected.
As many expected, the Baltimore Ravens are the team currently sitting atop the AFC North with the Bengals next in line and the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers both trailing even Cincinnati.
This upcoming week, the Bengals are heading up north for their second of six divisional games. Earlier this season, the Bengals traveled up to Heinz Field, and in a rare occasion, they left with a win.
Had second-year quarterback Joe Burrow not thrown 3 interceptions against the Bears, the Bengals could easily be sitting at 5-1, but then again, he’s a major reason why they are where they’re at.
The Bengals have been primarily led by their defense, a unit that held the Lions scoreless through three quarters last week. Even after going to overtime, they gave up just 25 points to the elite Aaron Rodgers-led Packers.
It’s been the main reason why Cincinnati is thriving, along with Offensive Rookie of the Year hopeful Ja’Marr Chase. That said, this road match against a division opponent is one they’ll need to compete in.
Entering as touchdown underdogs, the Bengals must prepare for Lamar Jackson and the dynamic Ravens offense. They rank fourth in rushing yards per game, so Logan Wilson must do his best to help his dominant defensive front tame the former MVP.
Following an overtime Week 1 loss to Las Vegas, the Ravens have nearly been flawless, outside of a near loss to the Detroit Lions, a team the Bengals just when on the road and annhilated.
That said, the Ravens are coming in hot, winning each of their last three games by an average of more than ten. Knowing that, it’s time for you to vote. Who is going to win this Sunday?
