The Cincinnati Bengals made the biggest statement of NFL Week 7 with an absolute thrashing of the Baltimore Ravens, 41-17.
Just as the Ravens was getting hyped up as possibly the No. 1 team in the AFC — their 5-1 record was the best in the conference entering today — Cincinnati brought them back down to Earth and gave them quite the spanking to boot.
Prior to the game as the Bengals took the team buss into M&T Bank Stadium, play-by-play radio man Dan Hoard noted how Ravens fans outside the stadium were giving the Bengals a one-finger salute.
The number of adults that flip off team buses heading to a stadium will never cease to amaze me

While Hoard is one of the absolute best in the business and a tremendous ambassador for Bengals football, I think he may have been a little off the mark thinking that Ravens fans were flipping the bird.
No, I believe those fans were simply letting the Bengals know they’re the No. 1 team in the AFC North, and we saw why on the field today.
Despite being 6.5-point underdogs, the Bengals handed the Ravens what was arguably their biggest butt-whopping they’ve had with Lamar Jackson starting at QB and left no doubt who the best team in the division is right now.
So thank you Ravens fans for knowing what’s up.
