Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow has been named the Week 7 FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week. He earned the honor for his performance in the Bengals’ 41-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday.
Making just his second career start vs. Baltimore, Burrow finished 23/38 passing for a career-high 416 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The win put the Bengals at 5-2, first in the AFC North, and first in the AFC if the playoffs began today.
Burrow beat out Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford for this week’s honor.
This is Burrow’s third career FedEx Air Player of the Week award. He’s won the award on Oct. 6th of this year for his Week 4 performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also won it on Oct. 28th of 2020 for his play in Week 7 vs. the Cleveland Browns.
Entering Week 8, Burrow ranks sixth in the NFL with 1,956 passing yards, second in yards per pass attempt at 9.2, fifth in passer rating at 108.9.
