Joe Burrow believes Bengals can win Super Bowl if they win AFC North

When you have a captain like second-year star quarterback Joe Burrow, he needs to be the undisputed leader. He needs to be the voice of the offense, and let’s just say he’s bringing the confidence this season.

Coming off a 41-17 victory over the then-5-1 Ravens, a game in which Burrow threw for over 400 yards for the first time this season, Burrow recognized this team’s ceiling, and it’s high to say the least.

“If we win this division, we can win it all. We can win it all,” Burrow said while on the sideline against the Ravens.

The Cincinnati Bengals are now sitting at the top of the division with the Baltimore Ravens, both at 5-2. It’s a tad bit too early to talk about tie-breaking scenarios, but out of technicality, the Bengals are at the top of the AFC North.

Burrow is a key reason for the team’s success. He’s been on fire lately and is the only player in the NFL with multiple passing touchdowns in every game this season. Burrow’s making his three star receivers look great, especially rookie Ja’Marr Chase.

That said, what will take this team to the next level and what’s proving to get them there is the defense. They gave up just 17 to the Ravens, and a couple of weeks prior to that, gave up just 25 to the Packers.

Led by rising star Logan Wilson, an elite safety duo, Chidobe Awuzie playing like an elite corner, and a stout defensive lineman, the Bengals have shown depth all over the field. They’ve been that good at all areas defensively.

With that in mind, Burrow is absolutely right. The goal should be the Super Bowl, and if they play at the level they’re currently at, there’s no reason why they can’t make a deep postseason run.
