The Cincinnati Bengals are hosting the San Francisco 49ers this week. The oddsmakers and experts seem to view this game quite differently from each other. Which one thinks the Bengals have the better shot in this one?
Odds
The Bengals are currently 2-point home underdogs against the 49ers, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. It has been a few weeks since the Bengals were underdogs and at home no less. It is a little strange to not see this viewed as more of an even matchup. San Francisco is also coming off a disappointing loss and traveling across the country, much like the Los Angeles Chargers did last week.
The over/under is also set at 49 points. Only one of the Bengals’ last six games haven’t reached that mark. The game that didn’t ended up being a 45 point game.

It seems the Bengals still have plenty of fans among the experts despite last week's loss. That they host the 49ers probably helped decide the tiebreaker among a few people picking the game, but this Bengals team showed some resilience. If not for a couple of freak turnovers, who knows how close that game actually ends up being.
It also likely helps that Cincinnati is getting back Trey Hopkins and Riley Reiff to their offensive line after missing last week. However, this 49ers team is also very capable. They are as much of a threat as the Chargers were last week.
