After a standout career with the Houston Texans, All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt was released last week, instantly becoming one of the top defenders to hit the market this offseason.

And at least one member of the Cincinnati Bengals hopes to see Watt suiting up in the Queen City.

Over the weekend, Boyd sent a tweet out to Watt calling for him to join the Bengals.

This past season, Watt was once again among the NFL’s top defensive lineman, as he finished with an outstanding 85.5 Pro Football Focus grade. He’s routinely been a terror for the Bengals, and that could continue if they don’t sign him, as several AFC North teams have also shown interest in him.

The Pittsburgh Steelers would seemingly be the favorites to sign Watt given that both of his brothers are current members of the team, but their cap space situation may take them out of the running for Watt. The Cleveland Browns have also shown interest in Watt, though they’re already pretty stacked at defensive end with Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon.

The Bengals, on other hand, have a wealth of cap space this offseason. They also may have a major need at defensive end if Carl Lawson signs elsewhere.
