The Cincinnati Bengals are primed to be very active when the 2021 NFL free agency period begins. However, they also have two impending free agents on defense that badly need to be re-signed.
As of now, Carl Lawson and William Jackson III are set to be among the top free agents at their respective positions when free agency opens. It’s going to be a major challenge to keep them and address other positions of need, namely the offensive line.
So, there’s a real chance that the Bengals are only able to keep one of Jackson/Lawson. Given the Bengals lack of other impact players at cornerback and defensive end, one could argue Cincinnati should focus solely on re-signing them. But the main goal this offseason should be shoring up the offensive line to protect Joe Burrow, so there may not be enough cap space to keep Lawson and Jackson.
If it comes down to it, which free agent is more crucial to the Bengals’ success in 2021 and beyond? Let us know who you want to re-sign in the poll bellow and the comments section!
