EA Sports, the popular sport’s video game developer, made ways on Tuesday morning as they dropped the news that they’ll be making a new college football video game. The game was discontinued back in 2014 despite being beloved by many.
EA announced their decision to back the game via Twitter. The one thing to note is that it will be for Next Generation consoles, so those PS4s and Xbox Ones may not be compatible with it.

For some, this may be their first time playing the game when it is finally released, but for many, it will have more of a nostalgia feel. Either way, everyone should be thankful that it’s on the return.
Do you know who isn’t thankful that this announcement was made a year after he left college? That’s right — Joe Burrow.
The Bengals’ No. 1 overall pick may have easily been on the cover of the game after a historic season in which he took home both the Heisman Trophy and the College Football Playoff championship trophy.
All I ever wanted was to be on the cover of this game and as soon as I graduate they bring it back https://t.co/C6JhkfQMpJ

Burrow may not be on the cover of the roster, but it seems like he’d enjoy a copy to aid his ACL rehab.
