A.J. Green has found his next home.
After Green and the Cincinnati Bengals effectively parted ways this offseason, the franchise great is now joining the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. It’s reportedly a one-year deal worth around $8 million, per Ian Rapoport.
This deal has been in the works since last night, source said. Expect it to come in around 1 year for $8M. https://t.co/aR0oiJJGNr

Set to turn 33 in July, Green is coming off a brutal three-year stretch with the Bengals that had both sides ready for a fresh start this offseason. He missed 23 games due to injury from 2018-19, including the entire ‘19 campaign due to an ankle injury suffered on the first day of training camp.
This past season, Green was franchise tagged in hopes he could regain his pre-2018 form, but it was painfully clear he’s no longer the superstar he was for much of his career in the Queen City.
In 16 games, Green was targeted 104 times and caught just 47 receptions, marking the first time in his 10-year career that he caught less than 50% of his targets. He finished third on the team in targets (104), receptions (47) and receiving yards (523) while finishing fourth in touchdown grabs (2).
Green still has enough left in the tank to be a solid No. 2/3 option, which is exactly what he’ll be in Arizona next to All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins and possibly Larry Fitzgerald, the latter of which is still mulling retirement.
Green will end his Bengals career ranked No. 2 in receiving yards (9,430), touchdown catches (65) and receptions (649) in franchise history, trailing only Chad Johnson.
Best of luck to Green as he begins a new journey in Arizona.
