The Cincinnati Bengals lost former superstar receiver A.J. Green to Arizona, but they may be able to bring in another young dynamic receiver from Detroit.

With interest in Kenny Golladay, Cincinnati has a chance to upgrade their receiving corps, then boasting the AFC North’s most dynamic threats on the edge. It’s certainly not a done deal though, as the New York Giants and Golladay also have mutual interest.

What could make the difference between the Bengals and the Giants for Golladay?

Joe Burrow could.

The star quarterback is looking ready to take the field after a nasty ACL tear to end his rookie season.

After a historic start to that season, much is expected of Burrow in Year 2, and the former LSU star has reportedly done his part to lure Golladay to the Queen City.

“Joe Burrow has made a pitch for him,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Thursday on Good Morning Football, adding that Golladay “has a really strong offer from the Cincinnati Bengals”

The Bengals need Golladay, who ranked 7th in the league in receiving yards in his sole Pro Bowl campaign in 2019. Playing just five games last season, Golladay struggled to get going and watched his Lions fall to the bottom of the NFC North.

Without Matthew Stafford, Golladay isn’t headed back to the Motor City.

The Queen City may be calling his name though, and if what Burrow said could convince the star, the Bengals may turn from the worst team in the AFC North to a potential top-two team.

The Bengals have the cap space to get a deal done.

Gauging Golladay’s value would be tough, but no one would be upset if he was given between $12 and $16 million. With a few more upgrades to the roster, the Bengals could be set to be one of the surprise teams of 2021.

Whatever happens, it sounds like we won’t be waiting much longer for a decision, as Golladay is reportedly visiting the Giants today.
