The Cincinnati Bengals will not be getting Kenny Golladay.

On Saturday, Golladay agreed to a deal with the New York Giants, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport says it’s a four-year deal worth $72 million with $40 million guaranteed.

In addition to the Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears also made bids to sign Golladay.

Golladay, a fifth-year player in 2021, is coming off an injury-plagued 2020 season that saw him catch just 20 balls for 338 yards and two scores in five games.

However, Golladay was on a tear the previous two years as he racked up 135 catches for 2,253 yards and 16 touchdowns across 31 games from 2018-19. He’s spent his entire career with the Detroit Lions after being a third-round pick out of Northern Illinois in the 2017 NFL Draft.

This would have been a major get for the Bengals, who reportedly offered Golladay a lucrative one-year deal, which would have allowed him to hit free agency again next year when the NFL salary cap is increased.

Alas, Ja’Marr Chase sounds nice right about now. And Josh Reynolds is still out there.
