Mel Kiper makes ‘toughest call’ for Bengals in new 2-round mock draft
It’s not the worst way to go for the Bengals and we’ve had very similar mock drafts here. Protecting Joe Burrow is critical, hence Sewell still standing as one of the favorites. Still, Ja’Marr Chase needs to be considered a favorite too. This is a deep offensive line class, but there just isn’t another Chase — he’s getting comps to Julio Jones and others for a reason.

But Burrow hasn’t been shy publicly in talking about how close he was to Moss and Chase. And the Bengals haven’t been shy in admitting they really liked a lot of the guys who popped up on film a lot while scouting Burrow before the 2020 draft—namely, Moss and Chase.

Tony McGee Believes Cincinnati Bengals Should Pick Oregon Offensive Tackle Penei Sewell
“If they don’t draft an offensive lineman, they should draft a quarterback because they’re going to need multiple quarterbacks who can shuffle in between Christ hospital," McGee said. “In the Bengals case, it was scary what we were seeing. We were like they’re going to get Joe Burrow hurt, he’s going to get killed. The average and below average fans, a third grader was saying the same thing. Low and behold when he gets hurt, none of us are surprised. We are all disappointed and we are pissed because we knew this would happen.”

Bengals hit on defense in free agency per Duke Tobin
Hendrickson finished tied for second in the NFL with Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald with 13.5 sacks in 2020. Playing for the New Orleans Saints last season there has been some criticism Hendrickson accumulated many coverage sacks and benefitted from the attention on other defensive linemen.

Julian Edelman's retirement marks end of career defined by 'full throttle' approach
The year was 2016. The Patriots were preparing for their first playoff game of the 2015 season, a home date against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. Julian Edelman had missed the previous seven games with a broken left foot but left no doubt he would return for the postseason, saying he would play the way he always had -- "full throttle, regardless."

Falcons GM Terry Fontenot: Atlanta in prime position to 'stack good quarterbacks'
New general manager Terry Fontenot has a major decision to make on how he'll build his roster. Does he choose an eventual heir to Matt Ryan at quarterback, assuming that Atlanta won't be in a top-5 position to draft a franchise signal-caller in the coming years? Does he snag a uber-talented player like tight end Kyle Pitts, who could make the offense unstoppable? Does he trade down to a QB-needy team willing to pay heavily?
