NFL Draft Video Profile: Ja’Marr Chase is what the Bengals need at WR

Breaking down LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Ja’Marr Chase Video Draft Profile

While wide receiver isn’t a ‘major’ need, the Cincinnati Bengals shouldn’t go into the season with Auden Tate as their WR3, especially without competition.

With that in mind, would it be smart to address the WR opposite Higgins role with a top -five pick?

If that pick is Ja’Marr Chase, then I think so.

Joe Burrow thrived in college with a receiving group made up of three future first-round picks and an offensive line that did just enough to get him by while playing for the LSU Tigers. Adding a WR that Burrow has a proven chemistry with and is one of the best WR prospects in years is an absolute slam-dunk pick, and it looks like one the Bengals will make.

Let’s take a look at the athleticism he put on display at his Pro Day:

  • Height: 6’0”
  • Weight: 201 pounds
  • 40-yard dash: 4.34
  • Broad Jump: 132”
  • Vertical Jump: 41”
  • Shuttle: 3.99
  • 3-cone: 6.96
