With the 202nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected Chris Evans. The Bengals use their second pick in the sixth round and ninth pick in the draft on a running back to replace Giovani Bernard on the depth chart.

Not only does Evans share the name of a superhero actor, Evans moves like Captain America. He’s an explosive and flexible all-around back that is known for his burst, receiving ability, and pass protection. Evans actually came to Michigan as a slot receiver in 2016 and ended up spending five years in Ann Arbor due to a suspension in 2019 for academic purposes.

Like fellow draftees Cameron Sample and D’Ante Smith, Evans participated in this year’s Senior Bowl. He will turn 24 years old during this season, but only has 320 carries under his belt as he enters the Bengals’ running back room.
