It’s finally here.
The Cincinnati Bengals have unveiled their 2021 schedule!
The journey begins in Week 1 when Cincinnati hosts the Minnesota Vikings on September 12th while welcoming Mike Zimmer back to Paul Brown Stadium for the first time in the regular season.
Week 3 will be the first AFC North game as the Bengals search for their first win in Pittsburgh since 2015 when they face Big Ben and the Steelers.
The Bengals won’t be getting a bye until later in the season, as Week 10 will be when the much-needed bye takes place.
The Bengals’ first primetime matchup comes in Week 4 when they host No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Burrow and Lawrence last faced off in the 2020 College Football Playoff title game, where Burrow’s LSU Tigers defeated Lawrence’s Clemson Tigers.
Another big-time QB matchup will come in Week 13 when the Bengals host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13. It will the best first time Burrow and Justin Herbert ever face off on the football field, as the first two QBs selected in the 2020 draft will the first of what could be many great NFL battles.
Perhaps the most challenging game of the 2021 schedule comes in Week 17 when Cincinnati plays host to NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Remember, the NFL adopted a 17-game schedule that begins this season, so there will be 18 weeks of regular-season football. The Bengals’ final regular-season game of 2021 will be the second of two AFC North clashes with the Browns, this one being at Cleveland on January 9th, 2022.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the preseason! Read more about there here.
