The Orange and Black Insider Bengals podcast: Back in Orange and Black

Joe Burrow appears ready for Week 1, but the talking heads are worrying about a similar ending to 2021 akin to his rookie year. John and Anthony attempt to dispel that notion, while also looking at some takeaways from the recent minicamp.

Minicamps are in full-swing and we are getting the first glimpses at some of the newest Bengals players. Excitement is building as the Bengals look to have a breakout year in Zac Taylor’s third season as head coach.

A major source of the excitement these days centers around recent reports that Joe Burrow will be definitively set to start Week 1 for Cincinnati. It wasn’t in a lot of doubt, but Burrow’s doctor noted that he is way ahead of schedule in his rehab.

However, the national media believes that a similar outcome could occur in 2021 to that of last year. Why? Because the perception is that the Bengals didn’t do enough on the offensive line to prevent further protection issues for their star quarterback.

How accurate is that perception? Who could surprise us in training camp, based on these minicamps? John and Anthony discuss those topics and more this week!
