News recently broke that Joe Burrow is on pace to return in time for the start of the season, so fans in Cincinnati are exited to see him in Year 2.

Bengals fans are not the only ones excited to see him come back from his knee injury. Kay Adams from NFL Network also vocalized anticipation for Burrow’s return.

She brought his name up when the crew of Good Morning Football discussed their dark horse MVP candidates in 2021.

“I think he’s a good dark horse,” she said on the show. “Listen, before his injury last year he showed us he can do some things and if he can in that gauntlet of a division get his team into a playoff contention situation, then I think you have to give him some love as a MVP candidate. He has to be in the conversation. He’s got Ja’Marr Chase. He’s got Tee Higgins. No reason he can’t put up monster numbers this year.”

Her co-host Peter Schrager tabbed Justin Herbert to be a prime candidate in his second year in the league. Adams went with the guy who went nine picks ahead of him in the 2020 draft.

“We saw Lamar Jackson win it in year two. We saw Patrick Mahomes win the MVP year two, so why not Joe Burrow?”

If wearing Bengals sweaters on GMFB wasn’t enough of a reason for Bengals fans to love Kay Adams, then this should do it.
