The Cincinnati Bengals hosted free agent quarterback Peyton Ramsey for a workout today, according to Yahoo Sports reporter Eric Edholm. Ramsey recently worked out for the Carolina Panthers at their rookie minicamp but was not signed.

This actually isn’t the first time the Bengals met with the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Ramsey this offseason, as they reportedly met with him at some point during the pre-draft process. Ramsey did not hear his name called in the NFL Draft and is still waiting to find his professional home.

Ramsey played the first three years of his college career with Indiana before transferring to Northwestern for the 2020 season. He finished his career with 8,314 passing yards (65.2% completion rate), 54 touchdown passes, 31 interceptions, and a 131.2 passer rating.

This past season at Northwestern, Ramsey threw for 1,733 yards (61% completion rate) and 12 scores vs. eight picks in nine games with a 121.0 passer rating. He did go 7-2 as a starter, led Northwestern to the Big Ten Championship Game (fell 22-10 to Ohio State), and scored a 35-19 win over Auburn in the Citrus Bowl.

NFL.com gave Ramsey a 5.56 draft grade and projected him to be a priority free agent.
