A week removed from the NFL draft the dust is starting to settle, and fans are starting to really dig into figuring out how good their teams draft really went. For Cincinnati Bengals fans one of the more intriguing picks made last weekend was Texas edge-rusher Joseph Ossai.

With not a ton of experience in the pass-rushing game, it was really the traits he possessed that made the staff look to add him to a rebuilding defense. Another key factor though was he attitude, and he showed it when he spoke with Bengals reporter Marisa Contipelli.

She asked him which AFC North QB he was looking forward to sacking the most, and fans are going to love his answer.

“I want to go with Big Ben, because he was one of the very first football games I ever watched when I first moved to America,” he said. “But then there’s a natural rivalry with Baker (Mayfield) and me with the Texas and OU, so it’ll be interesting. But all of them would be great. Sacking all of them would be awesome.

“And I think I’m going to go with that.”

Last season at Texas was the first full season that Ossai played in an edge-rushing position, and overall produced at a very solid rate in a shorten season. In nine games played he recorded 5.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss.

Ossai will figure out soon enough which QB he will get the chance at first as the NFL will release the 17 week schedule in a few days on May 12th.

Hopefully, it will be Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers for his sake.
