The Bengals’ new uniforms have Chad Johnson wanting to pull a Tim Tebow

“I could probably make the team,” Johnson said.

I’m not sure there have been many athletes in the history of sports rep a city harder than Chad Johnson reps Cincinnati.

After spending a decade in the Queen City, Johnson has stayed consistently in the media by either betting on UFC fights, tweeting about meeting up with receivers, or more recently, announcing that he’s going to fight on the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul card.

Johnson’s relevance hasn’t always stemmed around the Bengals, but he’s always stayed in touch with what’s going on in Cincinnati.

After seeing Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tim Tebow return to the NFL after taking time off as a broadcaster and MLB player, Johnson jokingly said that the Cincinnati Bengals' new uniforms have him wanting to un-retire.

Johnson jokes at the end that he could probably make the team. Given the Bengals elite receiving corps, it would be a thrilling battle, one that I’d expect Tyler Boyd and company to win.

However, Johnson does stay in shape, so those last few spots would be intriguing if he actually cared to compete for them. Nonetheless, Johnson should have bigger things on his mind as he trains to fight Brian Maxwell.
