With training camp set to begin this week, the Cincinnati Bengals today made the following player moves:
OT Hakeem Adeniji, P Drue Chrisman, DE Wyatt Hubert, and DE Cam Sample have been placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. Adeniji, a sixth-round draft pick in 2020, suffered a torn pec muscle during OTAs.
WR Riley Lees and DT Renell Wren have been placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. Wren, a fourth-round pick in 2019, is still recovering from a quad injury he suffered last training camp.
HB Pooka Williams has been placed on the Active/Non-Football Illness list.
Chrisman, Hubert, Sample, Lees, and Williams make up five of Cincinnati’s 17 first-year players. Rookies were required to report to camp on Saturday, so most of these injuries were likely first brought to light this weekend.
Aside from Adeniji and Wren, we don’t know the extent of these injuries, so it’s too early to tell if they’ll miss an extended period of practice time.
