Chad Johnson has made the boldest wager of the year.

On a recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Ochocinco picked the Cincinnati Bengals to win the AFC North in 2021.

“It’s not even close,” he stated.

When pressed on it, Johnson laid it all on the line.

“If we win the AFC North, I promise you, I won’t eat McDonald’s no more.”

Johnson made it abundantly clear that he does not take this prediction lightly. Ochocinco promising to fast from McDonald's is like a vegan eating a 16-ounce ribeye.

He didn’t bet the house, but he did the next best thing, since McDonald’s is where all of his meals are prepared.

Johnson even tried to get Joe Burrow in on his “nutrition plan” by leaving him a combo meal in his locker back in April. Perhaps that’s part of the reason Johnson is so optimistic about Burrow and the Bengals in 2021.

“I love Joe,” he said. “I love what Joe’s been able to show being a rookie last year and being so poise under the circumstances that he had to deal with.”

He also had to show some love to the current receiving squad, starting with #85.

“Tee Higgins, doing that 85 justice...I’m excited for [Ja’Marr] Chase. Chase has this aura, he has this ‘it’ about him that you can’t teach, you can’t coach...Auden Tate, Tyler Boyd, man, all those dudes.”

But he is so confident that the Bengals will win the division because of what Zac Taylor has done over the last few years.

“This is a common sense pick based on what Zac Taylor has been able to do with this team thus far.”

While most Bengals fans probably wouldn’t feel comfortable betting a huge chunk of their lifestyle on Taylor, Johnson is one of the proud few.

If Johnson is right though, both the fanbase and his cholesterol will be in good shape.
