The folks at EA have been slowly revealing player ratings for the upcoming Madden 22 video game.
For whatever reason, they badly missed the mark on Joe Burrow, who came in tied with Jared Goff as the 19th-best QB while sporting a meager 77 rating.

This rating is simply bad, especially since he had just a 76 rating going into his rookie season last year. You really think he did enough to improve just one measly point?
And it’s not like the people at EA are just dogging Cincinnati Bengals players. They actually had Jessie Bates as the fourth-best safety and Joe Mixon as the 10th-best running, which makes this Burrow rating even more insane.
Thankfully, ratings don’t affect how well guys play on the field, though it could add a little extra motivation to Burrow and the Bengals heading into the new season.
