The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the list of players not expected to play tonight vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The majority of these guys were already expected to sit out tonight with the exception of running back Trayveon Williams.

According to Geoff Hobson, Williams got hurt in Thursday’s practice and did not make the trip to Tampa.

A sixth-round pick out of Texas A&M in the 2019 NFL Draft, Williams is in a heated roster battle for one of the final spots at running back. Sixth-round pick Chris Evans and undrafted free agent Pooka Williams have been making a push for the final 1-2 running back spots, depending on if the Bengals keep three or four backs.

Now that Williams is out tonight, Evans and Williams are going to get a lot of chances to show what they’re made of tonight.

Former undrafted free agent and 2020 Bengals practice squad player Jacques Patrick is also vying for one of those final spots and should also get significant playing time tonight.
