Are you thinking about drafting your favorite running back in the first or second round of your fantasy football draft but concerned about his durability?

Don’t be.

Two fantasy football experts are eager about the prospects of taking Joe Mixon this year. Sky Guasco and Bobby LaMarco of the Candlestick Kids Fantasy Podcast told us why they think the Bengals running back won’t let fantasy owners down.

“Mixon should get a bulk of the workload,” Guasco said. “27 opportunities [per game] over those three games before he got injured including that huge game, three touchdowns, against Jacksonville. Joe Mixon’s my man, absolutely. He was on pace for 60 targets last year, [which would have been] a career high. [And this year] he’s going to have a better offense and more touchdown potential in general.” Guasco pointed out that Giovani Bernard is gone and Samaje Perine “duped” the Bengals into giving him another contract.

So what about the potential for injury? “Yes, [Mixon is] risky, but so is Jonathan Taylor, so is Saquon Barkley, so is D’Andre Swift. I will absolutely take Joe Mixon over all those guys right now.”
