The Cincinnati Bengals today waived wide receivers Reece Horn, Riley Lees, and tight end Pro Wells.

Horn, a first-year player, signed with the Bengals as a street free agent on July 26th. He played 18 offensive snaps during the team’s first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lees, a college free agent out of Northwestern, also played 18 snaps on Saturday in his first-ever NFL game.

Wells is also a college free agent, but the rookie out of TCU never took a snap against the Bucs. Lees and Wells signed with the team back in May.

Cincinnati entered training camp deep at both receiver and tight end, so these moves aren’t too shocking. There’s only so many snaps that can be distributed fairly. Nine receivers and six tight ends remain on the roster.

All NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 85 players by the end of Tuesday. Cincinnati’s roster now stands at 85 players.
