It is a rough, anxiety riddled day for players on roster bubbles as NFL teams are slashing down to their final roster before Week 1.
An NFL roster is always being tweaked and reworked, but this is the starting off point that could define the 2021 season.
We witnessed some eye popping moves from the Cincinnati Bengals. The team swiftly moved from a couple of young interior linemen after a productive preseason by the unit. Former fourth-round pick Michael Jordan was waived 24 hours after former first-round pick Billy Price was traded. Not a great start to the week for fans of both the Bengals and Buckeyes.
Other surprising moves included letting go of fan favorite defensive tackle Mike Daniels and tight end Thaddeus Moss. The latter may wind up back on the practice squad, but Daniels is likely to end up somewhere else after re-signing with Cincinnati just a few months ago.
The roster has been cut down now. There are still waiver claims and practice squads to be set, but this will be the foundation of the Bengals in 2021.
What are some areas you feel like the team could've cutdown on more or left too thin? Let us know in the poll and comments.
