What is currently your biggest concern with the Bengals?

It’s hard not to be worried about this offense and how much it’s affecting Joe Burrow.

Well, that was ugly.

Despite entering Week 2 with a wave of momentum following last week’s OT win over Minnesota, the Cincinnati Bengals laid a massive egg at Solider Field today, losing 20-17 to a Chicago Bears team projected to be in the bottom half, if not bottom third of the NFL this season.

The defense played well but failed to make several critical plays that could have changed the outlook, namely the missed scoop and score in the third quarter that the Bears ended up recovering. There was also the missed 3rd-down tackle of Justin Fields in the final minutes that could have given the Bengals offense the ball down just three points.

However, anyone who watched this game knows the team’s biggest issues right now are with the offense. You won’t find a better example than Joe Burrow, who had gone 199 passes without throwing a pick, only to throw three in this one.

A big part of Burrow’s struggles have been due to the offensive line doing its best to get him killed. The line has allowed nine sacks thus far. You have to worry how much this is starting to affect Burrow and his development. He made just his 12th regular-season start today after an ACL tear ended his rookie season after just 10 games.

Not all the blame can be placed on the line, however, as head coach and offensive play-caller Zac Taylor has made some very questionable decisions thus far, like waiting until the fourth quarter to air it out deep more today, or last week’s 4th-down gaffe that nearly sparked a Vikings rally to victory.

So, we’re asking you what your biggest concern with the 2021 Bengals currently is. Let us know in the poll below, then expand on it further in the comments section.
